U14 Tennis

The No. 1 Ridley College U14 Boys and Girls Tennis Team (4-0 CISAA Wast, 4-1-1 Overall) put the finishing touches on an excellent regular season while claiming the CISAA West Division Championship last Wednesday, defeating St. Andrew’s College 5-1.

The boys and girls in Black-and-Orange locked up the double points, taking a 3-0 lead in the match when the Tiger duo of Mark Jensen and Co-captain Siena Vendittelli bested their opponents 8-0 at the top of the line-up.  Ben Court and Mitchell Young fought hard for an 8-2 win.  Morgan Mattern and Dane Sisinni turned a 5-3 deficit into an 8-6 victory. In singles, Liana Biktimirova downed her opponent 8-0. The final point of the day for the Tigers came from Co-captain John Drake who won his match 8-0. Ridley is off to the CISAA Championships in Toronto next week.

U14 Rugby

The U14 Rugby Team travelled to Country Day School and won in decisive fashion, 54-5 with tries from Pip Neill-Morabito, Ian Lee, David Jaber, Joseph Adebanjo, Andrew Robichaud, Alex Herbert, Evan Forstinger, and Romaeo D’Intino. A fine day for all and plenty of playing time for everyone. We will be hosting the CISAA final four tournament on May 25th.

U14 Girls Softball

In the rain and muck, the U14 Girls team faced Holy Trinity. Despite the weather, spirits and energy were high. Holy Trinity set the pace early on with a 10-0 lead by the 2nd inning. Ridley fought to catch up and had a promising couple of innings later in the game.

Runs were scored by Madison Bergevin, Kailene Jackson (with a superb hit out into center field), ShanShan Li, Hailey Matovic, Madeleine Barberian, Hannah Bradley and Kate Wilson.

Ridley worked hard to ensure the gap in the score was lessened throughout play and eventually ended with a score of 16-7 for Holy Trinity.
