The Conference of Independent Teachers of English was held at Ridley College on the weekend. On Friday evening four of Canada’s most influential writer’s read passages from their acclaimed books. Giller Prize Winner Linden MacIntyre read from “The Bishop’s Man”, Katrina Onstad read from “How Happy to Be”, Russell Smith read from “Girl Crazy” and Richard B. Wright read from “Mr. Shakespeare’s Bastard”:
During this two-day educational conference, Ridley hosted 80 English teachers, 18 workshop leaders and 8 outstanding authors in a celebration of reading, writing and teaching.
