Girls Gymnastics Team Earns Silver at OFSAA


The Girls Gymnastics team returned from Windsor late Tuesday night after a successful OFSAA competition. Eight girls competed in a total of 21 routines, and most goals were met. The level 1 team (Ana Hinestrosa and Dani Pariente) earned valuable experience that will allow them to be better competitors next year. The level 2 team (Mariana Hinestrosa, Kennedy Farr, Emma Hudson, Shayda Shivafard, Morgan Aleven and Caroline Birkenshaw) struggled with nerves at times, but pulled through to bring home the hardware. Out of approximately 50 schools, and 45 competitors per division, Ridley placed:

2nd – Level 2 Team – OFSAA Silver Medalists

3rd – Kennedy Farr – Individual Bronze Medalist (Vault)

Top-20 finishes include:

  • Dani Pariente – 14th on floor
  • Marianna Hinestrosa – 14th on beam, 17th on floor, 20th on bars, 20th on vault
  • Morgan Aleven – 15th on beam
  • Kennedy Farr – 17th on floor
  • Caroline Birkenshaw – 17th on vault
  • Emma Hudson – 20th on floor
