The Ridley College Choir held their Spring Concert last night in the Chapel.  They presented ‘Liverpool Oratorio’ which was written by Paul McCartney in collaboration with composer Carl Davis.  This is McCartney’s first venture into classical music.  The work has eight movements and the text is based on the events of McCartney’s early life in Liverpool – his birth in the city during the war, his schooldays and his aspirations as a youth.  Here are some highlights from the performance:
