We are leaving for camp early tomorrow morning! The Upper School girls and all grade 7 & 8 students will be going to Camp White Pines in Haliburton and the Upper School boys will be heading to Camp Onondaga in Minden. The camps are about 4 hours north of Ridley.
Every year students attend camp at the beginning of the school year, it’s a great way to bond with housemates and classmates. The students sleep in cabins, canoe, do high ropes courses and first aid training – not to mention singing around camp fires and much much more!
If you are a little nervous about camp – check the video out from last year, hopefully it will put your mind at ease – it’s a great experience!!:
Also, here is a handy list of things to bring to camp:
Socks and underwear for each day
2 pairs of pants
2 pairs of shorts (weather permitting)
2-3 t-shirts
1-2 long-sleeved shirt
1 pair of running shoes/hiking boots
1 baseball hat or sunhat
warm pajamas or long-johns
1 sweater or sweatshirt
Rain jacket and rain pants (we are outside rain or shine!)
bathing suit
towel
sunscreen
soap/shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste
Flashlight ** Important item—do not forget!!
