Congratulations to our competitive athletes and their vocal supporters on a remarkable weekend for Ridley Sport. Our Senior Girls Volleyball, Senior Boys Basketball and Senior Boys Hockey teams had a combined 10 wins and 1 loss in all matches this past weekend. The First Boys Hockey team got things rolling with a 4-1 win Friday night over Appleby College in front of 300 happy Ridleians who also helped raise over $2000 for Bethlehem Place projects in Niagara. On Saturday, the First Girls Volleyball team won the silver medal at the St. Patrick’s invitational tournament in Ottawa (5 wins and 1 loss), and the First Boys Basketball team went undefeated (4-0) to win the inaugural CAIS National Basketball Tournament in Halifax over hometown favourite Halifax Grammar School 77-61.
