As a part of the boarding system at Ridley College there are house competitions. Boys Houses compete for the Bermuda Cup and Girls Houses compete for the Bradley Shield. Competitions can include anything from house reach to athletic competitions to camp events. Points are awarded for each competition and at the end of the year the house with the most points receives the coveted prize and bragging rights. This morning in assembly the finals were held for the house reach competition. Merritt South faced off against Arthur Bishop West. There is a strong rivalry between these two houses, in the last ten years Arthur Bishop West has won approximately 8 times and aside from last year when they faced Gooderham West they seem to come up against Merritt South. This year it was a close match down to the end and Merritt South came out on top – Congrats boys!
