In early November you probably noticed some five o’clock shadow forming on the upper lips of teachers, Upper School Boys, Father Jason and even Headmaster Mr. Kidd. By mid-November you could see the normally clean-shaven men with some serious facial hair. Some opted for the traditional ‘pencil’ or ‘toothbrush’ moustaches, while others went all out with the “extreme Dali’. The cause: ‘Movember’ – On the 1st of November men all over the world begin growing moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. This year, members of the Ridley College family participated in the fundraising event and students raised $550, Upper School faculty raised $380 and Lower School faculty raised almost $700!
