Ridley College graduates and current students performed well over the weekend at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in Port Dalhousie. Recent Ridley graduate and Mexico City native Igal Flegmann ’13 captured his first Henley gold in the under-23 lightweight men’s double on Saturday with partner Michael Ranaudo.
Flegmann will be attending Purdue University in the fall. Nadine Pozzobon, Madison Leitch ’12, Katherine Walker ’10 and Allison Whitty ’12 won the under-23 women’s quad final.
This marks the fifth Henley win for Leitch, Whitty her fourth and Walker her second. Whitty and Leitch won the under-23 women’s double on Friday.
Whitty attends the University of Miami and Leitch attends Syracuse University where they both row for their respective schools. The Under-19 men’s quad made up of current students Luc Brodeur ’14, Cosmo Steier ’14, Dayne Johnson ’14, and Sam Prantera placed third.
